import error

Anonymous 5 years ago • updated by Kyle Liu 5 years ago 0
I've been trying to import a PDF of a powerpoint onto my baiboard from dropbox.  It downloads, spins for a while on importing and then I get an import error, try again later.  I've used two different networks, tried my Ipad with the new update, my macbook air, and even tried importing it from google docs.  Nothing works.  The file is 7.2 MB, though I originally tried one of 11 and one of 16 mb.   All it tells me is that the file could not be imported at this time.  Please try again later.  Later isn't working.  Help?

Error 20502

I just got this tonight and was testing it before class tomorrow. Each time I tried to start a board, I got this error that said it could not connect to the server.

We had a server side issue earlier today, which was the cause of your connectivity problem.

It's been fixed, please give it another try.

How do I change the order of objects (i.e. move some to the foreground and others to the background

Anonymous 4 years ago • updated by Kyle Liu 4 years ago 1
Why does the software not provide an order functionality. I.e. it seems all objects are on the same plane, but they aren't. For example, if I have a few objects and then place a rectangle box around them, the box is now on top. So if I want to click on the objects within that rectangle (which appear beneath the box), I have to first move the box out of the way, then move my objects and then move the box back. This is silly. You should be able to just send the box to the background so I can touch and select the objects inside the rectangle box area.

Multi-user page synchronization?

It would be nice if users could opt-in to page synchronization (i.e. if one user advances to a new page, everyone who has opted-in advances)

Some tips to make this app top of the hill!

Anonymous 7 years ago • updated by Kevin Neubauer 6 years ago 1

Some tips to make this app top of the hill!

1) Add drawing of Polylines (1 long connected line)

2) Add drawing of Cloud shapes

3) Add drawing of Arrows, or change the start/endpoint of lines (arrow, dot, circle, slash etc...)

4) Multitouch: Extra button left or right bottom, if that is continually pressed with another finger, lines only are drawn in ortho (horizontal & vertical, like Autocad)

4) Undo + Redo

5) Easier entrance to settings + please do not combine all draw settings in one menu! It is so not clear this way.
For Example press & Hold on rectangle should show a popup window just like the 'icons' button, there you can adjust only rectangle settings. That would be so much easier.

6) Windows version

7) Web version (OS independant)

8) Have to think about that...

Error 3

Anonymous 6 years ago • updated by Kyle Liu 6 years ago 6

Hi

When I try to open a new board I am getting an error 3 and a message saying baiboard cannot connect to the server. Any ideas?

Two possible causes for your connectivity issue:

1. You should make sure your firewall is not blocking the following server/ports:

Host: *.baiboard.com

Port: 80, 443 and 26273

2. If you are behind authentication proxy server, this could also cause connectivity issue. BaiBoard doesn't currently have proxy sever support yet, but we plan to add it into our next month release.
